The orgeat syrup was light and flavorful in this, and then the tiki bitters took it over the top! Then we added the tropical juices of the pineapple and lime. Genius, I thought! So much fun this one was, and so tasty! Easy to make if you are having a New Years party, too!Īnd, if you are located in the middle of the country like we are, or anywhere that is cold, it’s nice to have a nice tropical cocktail to be dreaming of warmer weather! The combination of gold and blackstrap rum is sweet and dark at the same time. Wait, what?! So we came up with the idea of a fortune telling cocktail “seeing” into the future of the new decade and the new year coming up.Īnd then….and then, Jay thought of using a fortune cookie as a garnish. In this Seer cocktail, we really felt inspired by the idea that we are almost in a new decade! So we used it, because dry ice is fun, and so fun to photograph! Again, see our most recent post, Mrs Claus, or a Halloween Negroni!Īs you can tell, we love to use dry ice for effect and drama. Now we had some dry ice that we had gotten in a delivery. Tiki Bitters – we used Bitterman’s ‘Elemakule tiki bitters, but El Guapo Polynesian Kiss bitters work really well, too!.Try it in our Mai Tai, Winter Mai Tai or make your own homemade orgeat! Orgeat is a tropical staple ingredient, and plays super well with citrus juices and rum.
